On 17 January, 2016 Herb and I visited my trail cameras in Glen Canyon Park. The cameras
had stored a large number of pictures, 221 sets of still photos and videos
at the beaver tree alone. Progress toward cutting down the large cottonwood
tree is slow but the beaver or beavers are persistently working away at it.
I have yet to see more than one beaver in my pictures.

Deer and coyote tracks were plentiful in the fresh snow. In some of the
deer trails, we noticed the occasional drop of blood. This reminded me that
we are now at the season when bucks drop their antlers and sometimes there
is a little bleeding at the point where the antler separates from the skull.
That, however, is always minimal and the skin edges soon dry and begin to
heal.
Lars.
